For ease, toothbrushes are indexed rather
than classified due to considerable overlap of types.
ITC has been unable to classify or index
toothbrush head, neck, handle, and thumb grip variations. While these
distinctions are usually subtle, they reveal the
extraordinary lengths to which humans will go in search of better
solutions to practical problems. Perhaps humans have a natural tendency
toward invention and design. Input as to typological distinctions of
these design features are always welcome.
